Francesco Alfieri is the founder and CEO of the Italian company Taiprora (with sites in Italy, India, and Kazakhstan), who since 1993 designs and develops Software and Automation Engineering Systems in Europe and worldwide.
After earning a degree in Electronic Engineering he worked for Texas Instruments from 1989, where he was involved with various projects in the field of electronics, information technology, and automation engineering while keeping his constant focus on innovation.
During his career he founded and managed several companies, including Interzen (e-business consulting) and Taingenia (infrastructure engineering). He has always maintained close contact with the world of university research collaborating with some prestigious faculties of Engineering such as those of the University of Bologna and L'Aquila. He is heavily involved in the construction of business networks, has created several of those and is a member of the Capitank (Chemical and Pharmaceutical Innovation Regional Network) board.
He is a very board member in business associations such as Confindustria (whose former president he is) and Compagnia delle Opere, and cultivates his passion for social issues, especially in service associations such as Rotary International, where he has held several positions over the years.
His R&D approach and his vision have led him to launch a new concept of Smart Manufacturing where technological innovation meets beauty in order to make a real difference in people's daily lives, thus creating what he calls LIFE 5.0. In this field he is responsible for a national project for the integrated application of collaborative robots, smart glasses, and smart glow
